1. Can CAU or GA State Students try-out?
No, unfortunately students who are not currently attending Morehouse College or Spelman College are not permitted to try-out at this time.
2. If I do not have cheer experience, can I still try-out?
Yes, we welcome everyone interested to be apart of the try-out process, with understanding that cheer is an athletic sport that requires a lot of strenuous activity throughout the year. Fun Fact: Many of our previous captains never cheered before joining our team but were gymnasts or other sports athletes which aided in their performance.
3. Do you offer scholarships?
No, we do not currently offer cheerleading scholarships, but are working in over-time to make that happen in the years to come.
4. Are men allowed to participate?
Absolutely. We welcome all cheerleaders attending or accepted into Morehouse College to tryout in hopes of making the team!!
5. Do you compete?
We have not returned to the mat since before COVID. However, we are preparing to start competing soon.
6. Can you be involved in other activities while being on the squad?
Absolutely. Morehouse College promotes the 5 Wells of Leadership and so does the Cheer Team. Well-Balanced being extremely important one. We aspire all athletes to be apart of undergraduate activities that promote individuality, positivity, and success.
